Katarzyna Perlak’s work incorporates photography, video, text and spatial practice. Her work explores affect as a tool for archiving current historical moment, particularly resonating women, migrant and queer histories.

Her background is in Philosophy and Fine Arts, which she studied in Poland and UK. Currently she is undertaking MA in Fine Art Media at the Slade School of Fine Art, London.

25.10.2010:                    Traveller Box, International Collaboration based in Denmark

Commissioned as one of the UK artists to work on the collaborative project, which sees artists from around world working with the same object – a box. On Monday 25th artist Katy Bienart and myself contributed to the project with a participatory public space intervention during which we set a “Polish Picnic” on Windrush square in Brixton, London.

A public space intervention undertaken during Transient Spaces art residency.

 

09.2009:                        When You Drive It Out One Door, It Gets In Through Another / Pro Vienas Duris Isveji, Pro Kitas Ilenda, Palanga, Lithuenia

A collaborative project, which restored found film footage that was then screened in the local cinema. Produced in the context of ‘Displacements’ workshop with Cesare Pietroiusti.
